Fieberbrunn turn
starting point: centre, "Rosenegg" of "Pfaffenschwendt"

Starting from the centre of Fieberbrunn the trail goes past the church to lake "Lauchsee", following the sign "Winterwanderweg" in eastern direction, passing the "Schweinesten" farm towards the ski lift station "Streuböden/Fieberbrunn". From there you walk through the forest and past the "Reither" farms until the trail leads - after a short descent - to the road to restaurant "Eiserne Hand". At the restaurant the road forks off left to "Pfaffenschwendt" - restaurant "Kapell'n". From there the trail leads to the hamlets "Buchau" and "Schönau-Pertrach" up to Schlossberg. From there the trail goes downhill to "Rosenegg", passes the imposing castle Schlosshotel and from there, crossing the main road, to the restaurant "Großlehen". The trail goes further to "Tragstätt" farm and "Mittermoos" hamlet - downhill to "Pletzergraben" - over "Gebraweg" and "Reitlliftweg" back to the centre. This winter trail can certainly be managed in several steps.
Alpine hut Hochkogl (toboggan-run) - 1.066m
starting point: centre, restaurant "Auwirt"
walking time: approx. 1,5 hours
Starting from the restaurant "Auwirt", the trail crosses the bridge and turns left to "Gebraweg". Following "Gebraweg" towards the fork to "Weißach" hamlet. At the fork you find the sign "Jausenstation Hochkogl". Pass the "Weißach" hamlet and follow the steadily ascending circuit and hiking path up to "Hochkogl".
Restaurant "Winkelmoos" - 940m
starting point: centre, restaurant "Auwirt"
walking time: approx. 1 hour
Starting from the restaurant "Auwirt", the trail crosses the bridge and turns left to "Gebraweg". Following "Gebraweg" into the "Pletzergraben" and directly to the restaurant "Winkelmoos".
Restaurant "Eiserne Hand" - 880m
walking time: approx. 2 hours
Starting from the centre and along Fieberbrunn's promenade to "Walchau" hamlet and further along the "Schwarzach" stream on the mainly flat path to the restaurant "Eiserne Hand".
Alpine hut Tennalm - 1.080m
walking time: approx. 1,5 hours
starting point: from the centre of Fieberbrunn to the fire station and from there turn left over the bridge up to "Schönau" hamlet. After the fork behind the railway underpass turn right. From there follow the narrow road along some bends uphill to the ethnic alpine hut "Tennalm". It is possible to take the toboggan-run downhill at your own risk.
Streuböden - 1.210m
walking time: approx. 2 hours
Starting from the centre of Fieberbrunn in direction of lake "Lauchsee" up to "Schwarzhäusl", then along "Zillstattweg" steadily uphill to the middle-station of "Streuböden" ski lift. Either you take the same way back or you take the cable car downhill. It is less strenuous to do the route in the opposite direction (up to "Streuböden" by cable car - and walk downhill along "Zillstatt"). Attention: please phone before, whether the trail is open or not!
Alpine hut "Burgeralm" - 1.254m
walking time: approx. 4 hours starting from Fieberbrunn; approx. 2 hours starting from the restaurant "Eiserne Hand"
At the fork after the restaurant "Eiserne Hand" choose the left path, which leads in some bends uphill to "Burgeralm". On this trail you can also toboggan downhill on your own risk. Attention: Please inform yourself beforehand about the weather conditions, because this terrain is subject to danger of avalanches.
Alpine hut "Hochreit" - 1.050m
walking time: approx. 1,5 hours
starting point: "Rosenegg" - restaurant "Obermair" - "Obwall" - "Hochreit". Also reachable from St. Jakob. |
